It’s that time of year again!
The Crystal Lake
4th of July Boat Parade
Help spread the word to your neighbors to join us July 4th at 6:00 PM
for the annual Crystal Lake Boat Parade!
This year, we want as many residents to participate in the boat parade as possible. If you don’t want to decorate, it’s ok – just come and join the parade!!
If, however, you want to show of your decorating skills to the international panel of judges, this is what you need to do:
Decorate your boat for
the Boat Parade Contest!
Here’s how it will work:
- All participants should number their boat with their house number so the judges can identify your amazing decorations.
– Please use an 8.5″x11″ sheet of paper and with large block lettering - Participants will meet near Pik Nik island at 6:00 PM and prepare and line up to pass the judging location
- Make your way (Single File, at Slow Speeds) counter-clockwise around the north side of the lake towards the fishing pier
- A panel of international and impartial judges have been procured to ensure the best decorations are chosen as winners and given the title of “Winner”
– Judges will be stationed at the dock of house number #445 - The judging will occur at home #445 on the north shore of Crystal Lake
– 3 houses before the fishing pier
– Look for the interesting flags on the dock. There will be an USA flag on the top with the Hong Kong flag on the bottom. (oh that Dave!) - After you pass the judging station, make a U-turn at the fishing pier and head back to house #445
- The Top 3 winners will be awards with the most lavish of prizes once all boats have arrived
Money? Food? Gift Cards? New Boat!?! (It’s a gift card) - After the prizes have been awarded, you’ve earned a victory lap around the entire lake to show off your skillfully decorated boat!
