The City of Burnsville hires a consulting firm to complete an annual survey of weed status on Crystal Lake. Here’ is a map of the Eurasian Watermilfoil survey completed this year. The City and the consultant find that the milfoil is mostly fairly light lake-wide. This is consistent with previous year surveys. They do not recommend general treatment of the lake. Individual homeowners can certainly consider their own treatment if it is impeding use of your lake access.
